I love the outdoors and I love hiking.  Backpacking, however, is a new adventure for me.  I am really excited  and I am hoping to get out on one of the trips!

Have started eating raw foods the last 3 months and feeling great!  Quit smoking as well in March so am ready to move into physical activities and enjoy walking, hiking and bike riding. I had hoped to find a group that enjoys the same!

I love hiking the AT, have done numerous hikes in the Smokies, Monongalhela National Forest (Cranberry Wilderness) favorite being Middle Fork Trail.  I have done numerous hikes at Mt. Rogers and area trails.  My favorite gear store and help is Appalachain Outfitters!  I go hiking most the time with my brother in law (Karl) from NC whereas we meet wherever we're gonna hike that weekend. My favorite all-time hike was doing Tuckerman Ravine Trail and others - being from Connecticut and getting good exposure there while growing up and still go there as often as I can.  I hope to hike in Utah, Co, Wy and John Muir Trail - HAPPY TRAILS!

I first backpacked 30 years ago while in my teens.   W.Virginia & Pa., went back to Pa 15 years ago with my sons & then husband.  I am interested in starting backpacking again.   I love nature, try to stay fit and would love to introduce my daughter to backpacking.

I've been backpacking for some years now. Usually with friends in and around OH, PA, and KY but also annually out west in Mt. Rainier National Park (WA) and Three Sisters Wilderness (OR). I love all that backpacking has to offer and am hoping that joining this club will only lead to more great experiences.

I am a graduate of Kent State and live in the Akron area.  I recently completed my Master's degree in education at Walsh University in North Canton, OH.  I am a moderately experienced hiker who has in recernt years turned my attention to triathlon training.  I joined this club to hopefully meet some new friends and renew my interests in hiking and camping as I have plenty of equipment that doesn't get used enough!

I just started backpacking this year.

Have been to:
Mohican State Park (park-n-pack)
Wildcat Hollow (Wayne Nat'l Forest)
North Country Trail (Allegheny Nat'l Forest)
Hickory Creek Trail (Allegheny Nat'l Forest)

Have been going solo because I don't know anyone who can/will backpack with me (whimps!)

I have thoroughly enjoyed each trip I have been on and would like to try the NCT through the entire Allegheny Nat'l Forest (about 89 miles) next year when I have more experience.

I from Vermont and I have family in Cleveland that I visit regularly and I'm hoping to discover some good backpacking spots within a couple of hours- Alleghany NF is a little far but we've had some fun there. I can't remember where we were but in the western part. Pitched camp on top of this really cool huge square bolder that had moss and trees. I'm also wondering if there is any primitive camping on any Lake Erie islands. I wish I had time to do more backpacking, mostly just day hikes around Vermont when I can

I have been hiking and backpacking for the past 3 years...just me and my dog. I made a visit to one of the NEOH gatherings and finally met a few people that share my same interests in the outdoors. I am looking forward to having company and learning form others who desire the same fellowship. I am glad to be here with this group and I am looking forward to future trips.
