I'm a teacher. I am new at backpacking but love being in the outdoors. My first trip was in Yosemite. Enjoyed seeing sights that you can't see from the typical tourist spots and my friend and I saw no other humans for 22 hours even in the busy month of August. I was hooked. I'm looking for a group to hike with.

I have been involved in the outdoors most of my life. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, and biking. My wife and I, prior to having children spent time camping and hiking in the UP and southern Ohio. Once we had children things slowed down, but now that they are older we have begun to camp with them. We are looking forward to expanding our adventures outdoors. My wife and I have a dream of hiking the AT someday.
